Or if their hair is long they cut it all off. Why don’t they just style their natural hair. Not all black women need weaves. Plenty of Black women walk around with natural hair that looks great. I am anti-weave!!! Am I the only one???

Not only black people get weaves on those shows. Sometimes when someone wants a makeover they want completely different hair, and sometimes people need weave to achieve that on the makeover shows.

I think that natural African American hair is beautiful there are so many different styles that can be done. I think bra ids are beautiful, I love dread locks, classic fro is fun, curly is cute, there are endless ways, I agree, whats with all the weaves? And this is coming from the opinion of a white girl….

The other day i was saying to my friend that on most hair commercials,
the black woman’s hair is weave.
Why try to promote a hair product with someone with fake hair?
And sometimes on makeover shows,
the short hair is weave too.
I dont understand why they cant style their natural hair either.

I think African American hair is gorgeous. You can curl it soo much easier. I think weaves are pointless and look painful. I’m totally with you!
I’m half black and half white and somewhat anti-weave. If it’s really good looking and it’s what the person wants then it’s okay, but if it’s trashy I can’t stand it.
I personally have NEVER had a weave. Up until first grade my hair was past my butt, and it was entirely MINE. Grown, not bought in a store. =P
They give them a weave because the request it.
